We hired Gladman Stairs and Rail Designs for a project in downtown NYC in 2020. This was our first project using Gladman Stairs and Rail Designs. The stair was a Modern steel stair with glass railings and concrete treads. At the beginning of the project, we scheduled a meeting with the owner John Gladman and he was very helpful in assisting us in the design process. The owner of this project wanted a particular color and grain concrete tread. Gladman Stairs had a company they worked with in the past that was able to supply exactly what the owner requested. It was nice to only work with 1 subcontractor to supply everything for the stairs instead of having to hire different subs for the steel, glass, treads, etc. When the jobsite was ready, they had a crew come out to measure using laser technology to ensure accurate dimensions. Then we went through the shop drawing process and once that was completed the stairs went into production. We were very impressed on the installation process and how quickly their crew was able to complete installation. Their crew was very professional and worked well with all the other trades onsite. We had a great experience working with Gladman Stairs. They build a great quality product, and we would highly recommend them for any stair project.

I’ve worked with Gladman Stairs for the past 5 years taking on some of the most intricate of interior stairs, from floating metal stairs to your basic wooden stairs, they do it all and do it well! John and his team always go the extra mile and are willing to work together to solve problems and keep costs down. Being a contractor, this is always appreciated by the build team, but as well as the architect and client. We’ve had much success, and we look forward to continuing our success over many more years.
